Water washing,
Purging sin away.
By virtue of our Baptism,
A holy people we are made.

Blood and water gushing forth from Christ’s pierced side,
The Spirit testifies and in these we abide.
Water brings us to the precious Blood,
Cleansing us of faults,
Now nourished by the Cross by the Holy Host.

Eucharistic sacrifice received in this body,
A holy temple washed,
Made ready for God’s Presence,
Receiving Christ in every watch.

Blood and water, water and Blood,
Baptism and Eucharist,
Cleansed and nourished, nourished and washed.
